at the Salon

Here I am again. At a Salon. Face-Painting little girls. Little girls with dreams.

This group was super-interested in Peace-Signs and Hearts. Intriguing to me to watch the trends. Because I recently had two Caricature jobs which requested 'Beatles' type influence. One had asked for everyone at the Party to be drawn on one large paper - something like the cover to the Sargent Pepper album. And the other had asked for a Studio Caricature of a man on a motorcycle - mentioning that he really likes the Beatles so could it look something like 'the Beatles cartoons' (whatever that is - I figured just Peter-Maxx-influenced - perhaps something like the cover of the Magical Mystery album or like the simple/perfect Caricatures we recognize as 'Beatles'). Anyway, the trend seems to be 60's influenced these days. I even saw an ad in Cosmopolitan Magazine this morning for 'flare' pants (aka bell-bottoms from the 60's). I like this trend. I feel happy to paint this way.
