Shrek

Shrek?  Shrek?  That wasn't on my list.  But isn't that what happens at Facepainting Events.  Many people already know what they want. 

So this is what I came up with.  For a little girl who wanted Shrek.  I liked her.  And I liked the Face Painting.  You can really enjoy your work, you can really enjoy the Children, when you feel comfortable with your skills.

Lovely Girl's Backyard Party

Perfect.  Just the thing for 8-year-old Children.  A small Party with 15 - 20 friends in the Backyard.  Only a few Parents stopping in for a bit while they were bringing their kids in or picking them up.  The Party was For the Children.  All kidstuff. 

They had a tent with a Craft Project.  They ran around the backyard.  They had a special activity to Guess what a covered up picture was.  They had Pizza and Birthday Cake.  And they had Me ~ to give them the Facepainting that really made the day Special.

Cheerleaders

Special Request for one of this weekend's Parties.  Which I'm sure will come in handy for Both of this weekend's Facepainting Events.  It's to theme the Party for Cheerleaders and Zombies.  Like that's no surprise. 

Seems easy enough.  I could just do pretty Cheerleader Makeup for the Cheerleaders, and splotchy black/white with sunken eyes for the Zombies.  But I prefer to try out my ideas ahead of time.  Planning for the Party. 

I focused on the Cheerleaders tonight.  For a 5-year-old Girl's Party. 

I made 2 designs ~ figuring that one would be good for a cheek ~ and the other would be good for a forehead.  I learned the following ~ which will make my performance better at my events: 

1. Big head ~ Little body looks cuter.

2.  If I'm going to use the chunky glitter on the skirt, make sure to have a high-contrasting outline or background. 

3.  Maybe even save the pearly Colors for the Make-up Type faces.  And use the regular medium-light Colors for the backgrounds on designs like these. 



Whatever I do, I'm sure to Enjoy painting these designs.  I can paint different things each time.  Different sillouettes, Different types and different colors of curls and swirls using different brushes,  Many many different types of glitters

My Little Pony

Theme Party ~ I felt so comfortable because my client gave me plenty of advance notice that this will be a Theme Party for My Little Pony.  I had time to think about My Little Pony Before coming to the Party, so I was able to focus on fitting it to each person's unique face when I was painting.

Girly Girls

Another girly-girly day of fun and beauty.  I have so much fun at these spa-type events.  When I can reconnect with what it was like for me when I was a child ~ Just pretty girly stuff was requested this time.

And the girls were so connected with each other.  Heart to heart.  Sharing.  Many of the girls choosing the same designs as each other.  I don't mind.  I feel happy to decorate each child.  I feel happy to encourage their developing sense of themselves as beauties.
