The Show Must Go On

Grand Opening at a Store.  90-degree Weather.  And my Client told me to Set Up Outside. 

Makes sense.  Because I was probably hired to entice people towards the Store. 

But according to my Contract, it was Time to Start FacePainting ~ and my busy Client still hadn't gotten any Chairs outside. 

It Was more comfortable when the Chairs finally did arrive, but I didn't just wait around for them. 
Here I am ~ Face Painting while Standing Up. 



Lol ~ At my 2nd job on this super-Hot day (for Caricatures at a Man's 50th Birthday Party) ~ my Client made a last-minute decision and moved her backyard Party into the House.  You might have thought that that would have been perfect ~ or at least much better ~ but it came with it's own situations.  As the Comedienne Gilda Radner used to say, "It's always something."

I was in a small living-room ~ right next to the DJ's Set Up.  Barely noticed how very loud the music was ~ because I was busy making it all work even though they designed heir Party to have Blue Lights on the people I was trying to see ~ and Blue Lights onto my Paper and my Supplies.  Blue Lights both in front of my easel and behind my easel.  Okay ~ once again, I try to fit in with whatever my Client needs. 

Luckily I brought along my own little lights ~ it wasn't enough to eradicate the Blue Light Atmosphere ~ but it was just enough to let me See and Draw. 

Aaahh.  The end of a Happy Successful Day/Night.

Easy Event

Store Opening.  The store hired me to offer FACE PAINTING to their  customers. 

It opened so early in the morning that the people came in steadily but slowly.  So I was able to Enjoy the Activity with each person.  In this case, I created Both the Eye Design And the Choker (Necklace).  And I had a chance to photograph the girl several times.  Almost felt like I was playing with my friends ~ even though I still had only about 5 minutes with each person.  Things just feel so different that early in the morning.

Balloon Unicorn Hat

Getting ready for a Balloon Event this weekend.  Getting back in to Balloons. 

I made this Unicorn (can be worn as a Hat if desired).  A little big if there turns out to be a lot of people at the Party ~ so I plan on being ready to make simpler Unicorns if needed.  But this one is just soooo nice

Aaahhh

I post Photos here through Imgur.  Years ago, I used to post Photos here through Photobucket.
About a year ago, Photobucket gave me notice that their system would not longer support the Photos that I had here on this blog.  Oh.  Oh.

And that was after losing a lot of life from previous lost websiteS.  Oh.

Now HAPPY DAY!  I RECENTLY NOTICED THAT MY PHOTOBUCKET PICTURES SEEM TO BE BACK UP ON THIS WEBSITE (earlier years).  Feels aaaaahhh.  Like breathing.  Alive.

Going the Extra Mile

Look at me!  This weekend's Client requested that I fit in with her Disney-Theme Party.  So I sewed lace onto my polka-dot socklets, and I put red/white bows onto an old pair of shoes.  Figuring I'm doing all this sort of stuff at No Extra Charge even though it would probably be Only for This Girl's Party.

 

But now they're my new Favorites!  I will probably have more opportunities to wear them ~ especially in my line of work.  I feel so happy that I went the extra mile in accommodating my Client.  Because you can't imagine how Happy your feet can feel until you wear these.

An Intense Experience

An Arm Painting I did at today's 4th of July Parade.  I could tell how intensely the experience affected the woman by how many many times she kept Thanking me for it ~ and again at the end of the Event when everyone was leaving.  I knew I had really made her day Special.  Yes ~ My Artwork can be quite an Experience

Upping my Game

Always dreaming up new ways to Up my Game. 

This time I was playing around with a very successful Statue of Liberty Design that I had been using at previous 4th of July Events.  So many different options. 



And here is one of the simpler Statue of Liberty Face Paintings that I made a couple of years ago. 
It's all good.  It's all Great!  I love doing these.

Lovely Girl's Backyard Party

Perfect.  Just the thing for 8-year-old Children.  A small Party with 15 - 20 friends in the Backyard.  Only a few Parents stopping in for a bit while they were bringing their kids in or picking them up.  The Party was For the Children.  All kidstuff. 

They had a tent with a Craft Project.  They ran around the backyard.  They had a special activity to Guess what a covered up picture was.  They had Pizza and Birthday Cake.  And they had Me ~ to give them the Facepainting that really made the day Special.
