Gym ~ Grand Opening

I was Facepainting at a Grand Opening for a new Gym location.  Set up in the Nursery Room ~ not crowded ~ so I had the opportunity to Facepaint Parents and Staff as well as the Wonderful Children.  We all had such a good time.  Here are a few of the designs I created.

Got to Focus ~ Got to feel Calm

This is where I am now.  Surrounded by my Facepainting Party Ideas.  I wish I had been practicing Caricatures, but if I had been practicing Caricatures, I would have said that I wish I had been practicing Facepainting.  Because I'm scheduled to do Both tomorrow. 

First I'll be drawing Caricatures at one Party.  Then I'll be Facepainting at that same Party.  Then I'll be getting right out to my 2nd Event ~ where I will be drawing Caricatures again. 

If I ever get some sleep tonight, I might make time to practice Caricatures before leaving for the Events.  That would be a good idea.  But it's more important that I find time to Do Nothing (that's what I call my Meditation).  So I'll bring calmness and peace to the Events.  So I'll be able to be  focused on what I'll be doing at the Parties.

Superman

Troubleshooting some Facepainting Ideas tonight.  Turns out that it Almost doesn't matter what I do.  Only Brush ~ Sponge Paint Background Before Brush ~ Powder Background Before Brush ~ Black Outline ~ Black Curls ~ White Highlights ~ Yes ~ No ~ I can be in the Moment.  I can use what works best on the shape/size/forehead I'm presented with.  I can tailor my presentation based on what's going on around me at the Party. 

The only thing that I washed away to make room for these ~ that was when I used a Dark Shiny Blue And Black for Superman's  'Ribbon' ~ although I had a pretty good Save on it by using plenty of contrasting White.  Painting is Fun.  I love my job.

Spiderman at the Grand Opening

Another Grand Opening Event at a Store tomorrow.  They hired me to do the Facepainting.  To make it Special for their first day's Customers. 

I turned my attention to Spiderman.  It's good to have more than one idea for Spiderman because that is requested at Almost every event.

Unicorns

Time to pack up.  I've only been hired for 3 hours.  Times up and the Rough Music is So Loud.   But how can I go?  When these 3 little Unicorns popped up.

I did these Facepaintings so quickly.  Probably less than 2 minutes each.  I love it!







It's great to be a child.

Follow Up about a year later ~ I was Facepainting at other Parties where I did Not have Unicorns on the list.  But sure enough, the first Guest who sat down said that she wanted a Unicorn.

New Cellphone Camera

So excited with the new technology.  But the decisions! 

This is me ~ going to a last-minute FACEPAINTING Event ~
I was originally told that this was a High School Event. 

Focus.  Prepare.  Take a Selphie as I'm on my way. 
My Iphone Camera gives me lots of Options. 
Hmmm...  Natural Light?  Studio Light?  Portrait?  Vivid Warm?  Vivid Cool?.... etc

I feel like the Photo with the Black Background was better ~ for a Hight School Event. 

But when I arrived ~ hey!  This isn't a High School Event!  Turned out to be an Elementary School Event.  Well.....  I might have chosen a different Face Painting Design for an Elementary School Event, but this was okay. 

And the Photo with the Natural Background and Natural Lighting is now better ~ for an Elementary School Event. 

Just goes to show ~ there are always so many decisions to make about everything.  Yes ~ make a decision.  But don't agonize over it.  Good intentions are the way to make things work. 

Our decisions aren't Stopping points after which nothing else happens.  Things are always changing

Getting Ready for Marine Animals Event

Here are the Studies that I did before the Marine Animals Event for a School.  The Children had been studying all different types of Whales, Sharks, Dolphins, Seahorses, Fish all (semester?  year?) ~ so I took a little extra time to be able to paint the differences.  Studying
