If You Feel Comfortable

 Hello Y'All.  I just want to touch base to let you know that I have been spending most of my Party Time drawing CARICATURES and FASHION SKETCHES and GRAFFITI WORDS.  Because I felt like people would be more comfortable with those types of PARTY ART due to the Pandemic.  They are Not hands on.  

CARICATURES and FASHION SKETCHES and GRAFFITI WORDS are Not hands on the way that FACE PAINTING is.

I'm just here to help the People Feel Happy

 Client said they ordered FACE PAINTING, and that's what they want.  Unusual event because of the Pandemic-Masks, but it felt great to be there.  Like we will be able to breathe again. 

Because I wouldn't take the job unless the participants would be wearing Pandemic-Masks during the process, the Client left a lot of masks for the Guests in the Face Painting area.   And I was wearing Mask and Gloves myself.  

But the masks were too big for the children.  Between the large masks and the hats that many of them were wearing, that left me with very little area to paint.  Added to that, the guests would tell me things like "I want a cookie here (next to her eye) and a cupcake here (next to her other eye).  Just Things.  Or a guest would come back after requesting a 'Cooking Utensil' on each arm ~ the Then request a Queen Esther on her arm too ~ just a lot of Things.  

So this time I didn't get chances to paint my usual Face Transformations (even if just on forehead/eyes).  I painted a lot of Things.  It felt easy.  

And it kept the children happy.  Some kept coming back for more and more.

Is any of this sort of stuff serious, anyway?

Hello ~ Today I felt like getting serious about Facepainting Tigers.  I had something in mind about negative spaces and blah blah blah.  It just turned into getting all a-fussy about something that I already knew how to do quite comfortably. 

My first attempts didn't look good, but I did develop a new attitude toward the shape of a Tiger's Face.  Because I was actually looking at photos of real tigers. 

So even though I ended up going back to the decorative sort of lines that are done at Parties, I do feel like I'm the better for having done this exercise.  I developed better understanding of the forms of a Tiger's face.
