Is any of this sort of stuff serious, anyway?

Hello ~ Today I felt like getting serious about Facepainting Tigers.  I had something in mind about negative spaces and blah blah blah.  It just turned into getting all a-fussy about something that I already knew how to do quite comfortably.

My first attempts didn't look good, but I did develop a new attitude toward the shape of a Tiger's Face.  Because I was actually looking at photos of real tigers.

So even though I ended up going back to the decorative sort of lines that are done at Parties, I do feel like I'm the better for having done this exercise.  I developed better understanding of the forms of a Tiger's face.

Monster !

Facepainting Events.  Here's one of the Monsters that I Face Painted.

and a Ghost.

Simple designs for me ~ I figure why do more when the direct answer says it perfectly.
When I do it well, it has great impact.

A good time was had by all.

Just because I like it

Time off.  Face Painting a Dolphin.

Again?  Again you might ask a Facepainter?

This is a very commonly requested design at Parties and Events.  So why am I painting it again.  On my time off.

Because I'm good at it.  I like it.

Doing Too Much

Playing around with some Superman Facepainting Designs tonight.  Glad I try them out in the Studio Before an Event.  Looking good, but I'm feeling like it's best to pull back and keep them simpler.  For me.  Simpler for me.  But they don't look too simple for my Audience.  They would just look cleaner and more confident.

In the first one, I was trying out an idea for a brick-like pattern in the background.  Ummmm...... no.  I managed to make this one work, but I would prefer a nice blue 'sky' behind the Superman logo instead:

Then I did a mask with a Superman face and cape.  Fine.  I like the way the person's skin becomes Superman's skin:

But I wondered if Superman's Face might stand out more if I painted it in white.  It's okay, but I liked it better before I filled it in:

Dreaming.  Looking forward to my next Facepainting Event Party.

Wheel Chair Design

at Starbucks today.  I was studying the Mike Tyson Facepainting Design.  Got the feel for it, and I was coming up with some tuff stuff.

then I noticed Starbuck's standard Wheel Chair Design on the table.  So I started to incorporate That into my ideas too.

These can be Powerful Face Painting Designs
