Staying Up All Night

It feels so compelling.  I can't put away my Facepainting Supplies. I keep thinking of different things I want to try out.

I'm getting into the swing of things before next weekend's Facepainting Holiday Party.  I painted these little Christmas Trees  ~



and when I finally pushed myself to put them away, I just had to try out some more ideas.

Christmas Tree Mask

One of this week's Events will be Facepainting at a Holiday Party.  I had a marker here, so I dreamed up this Eye-Mask Design.  I imagined how great it would look ~ perhaps painterly mounds of 'snow' under the eyes and a cloudlike hill....  maybe rosy cheeks.....



Then I actually applied it.  Good thing I practice my ideas Before I actually try them at Events.  Because egads, it didn't work.  So much of it didn't work: 



So I had this opportunity to Simplify the Design.  Aaaahhh.  I will feel Happy to use it.  I'm looking forward to the Event.  I am Ready!

Changing Supplies

Yes ~ Getting ready for this Season's Holiday Parties.  I have to Change my Supplies.  No longer using mostly Orange from the Autumn Season.  Now I switch to Red and Green and Gold for Christmas and Blues and White and Silver for Chanukah.

It felt good to be fussing around with my Supplies.  I grabbed a paper here and got my 'feet' wet.  I wet the brush and tapped out this design ~ I do it a lot.  It goes over well with the Ladies.    (We're actually looking at two Separate designs here.  Just playing around, in my mind it's two separate designs)

I usually make the Shapes Black.  And then Add Colored Glitter.  But I didn't want to use up the fresh containers of Glitter that I just prepared for this week's Party.  So I made the shapes in Red.  This time.



I feel ready.  I am Ready to go to my next Party!

and Wow!  I also could have used this design at my November Thanksgiving Events.  I hope I remember it for next November ~

Last-minute Booking

I was coming home from an amazing long day of drawing FASHION SKETCHES at a Corporate Event in NYC ~ When I was contacted by a new Client.  That was just before I got on the LIRR Train to come home.  By the time the train 'landed' in Wantagh, I had booked a BALLOON Twisting Party for the next day ~ less than 24-Hours notice!

Happily scrambling around ~ getting travel directions, clothes, refreshing my BALLOON Supplies, making new Signs......  Barely slept before I ran into the 1-year-old boy's Party.  The Children were Wonderful.  The Babies were so... Babies!  The Adults were gracious and appreciative.  The BALLOONS were so much Fun ~ as always.  Oh ~ It felt like a Whirlwind of Happy Joy!

When I got home (since I'm already ready for tomorrow's booked-well-in-advance CARICATURE Event at an Assisted Living Center), I was able to develop some more ideas I came up with at today's BALLOON Party.  I'm building a knot-tying-assister and adding Heart Wands to my Go-to Sign.  And I put Business Cards into my Supply bag ~ hoping I don't forget them next time.

And Wow!  I'm still feeling sooo Happy.  My Client still thought of me ~ took the time to send me the following email: 

Thank you so much for today and on such short notice.  The kids loved you. 

 I hope I get around to checking out the Photos that I took at the Party.   Hoping I'll get a chance to post some on this blog.

A Cold Day
