Happy New Year

Dreaming about tomorrow's Party.  I want to be able to paint real fast.

I feel like I'll be able to do that if I just offer a Few choices ~ without putting out any Samples.  I know I can Butterfly and Flower real fast, but there will be Men at the Party too.  They might not want to be Butterflies and Flowers.  So what to do.... What to do.....

I actually painted myself about 30 times in a row!  Paint, then wash it off.  Then Paint, and wash it off again.  And again.   To be prepared with ideas that I could handle real fast.   Very unusual for my to limit myself, but I will be offering only  those tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to seeing what I'll end up doing.

Facial Hair,
Tribal,    
Tiger,
New Year.

  The biggest project I was working on was an idea I had been playing with for a while ~ to offer mix 'n match Facial Hair.  Perhaps I'll  also dream up some New Year's design with fluted champagne glass.

Christmas

It was a wonderland of a Party.
I tried to capture it in a quick photo that I took as
I left the venue, but the photo barely Hints at the experience:



And I had so much Fun with the People.
Even these simple Christmas Eyes made a Splash:





BTW, would you Look at those eyelashes on this boy?  I only painted the eyeballs.  That fringe on the bottom is real.

Family Party

Such a special day ~ I came prepared to do both Face-Painting And Balloons at this one-year-old's Party.  Everyone seemed so happy.







I had arrived all painted up myself  - full-face -sort of a Minnie Mouse sort of thing.  Very comfortable ~ sometimes I even forget when I have it on.

There wasn't enough time to get to my gym after the event, and I really wanted to get in a swim.  So I found a local Y where I could get over 1/2-hour before it closed.  By the time I got there, I had forgotten that I was all painted up.  So I felt tickled pink when the girls at the YMCA desk told me that I wouldn't have to pay the $15 fee ~ because they 'had a special that day for people who came painted like that' :-)

Face-Painting Roses

My Roses are requested at practically every Party.  I'm not surprised.  Makes people feel so beautiful.

I started feeling really graceful as I painted them at this recent Party.  I felt so pleased with how beautifully they turned out.  As did the guests.

Wide Variety of People

At many events, everyone wants to be something different.  We all have different hearts, different dreams, different imaginations.  It shows to me when I see how people respond to Face-Painting, when I see what choices they make, when I see them respond to their finished visions.  We have here Corner Stars, an Avatar, a Dolphin, a Thanksgiving Turkey, a Leapard, a Vampire, a few different Butterflies.....  and that's not all I painted at this PreSchool Opening:
























BTW, this was such a beautiful PreSchool.  In Brooklyn.  With wildly colored walls including Purple and Green, which somehow felt calm and lovely the way it was put together.  Crystal Clear fishtank walls.  New surprises on some old developmental toy ideas.  I felt like a person would want to be there ~ adults as well as children.  It was so fresh.  So very new.

Working Together for a Quality Costume

Oh dear.  Both my client and I did just a little bit, but when our vampire design came together, even the Adults could loosen up and experience the freedom of Fun!  Here is the face that I painted as a vampire.  With neck-drips.

 Followed by a picture of that same face after my client pulled a veil over it.  Wow.





This one was done for Halloween.  I've also had other opportunities for helping Adults put together Costumes.   Will the Fun never stop??

Balloon Apron

And I feel so happy because I finally splurged on a top quality deluxe Balloon Apron.  Makes it so much smoother to handle Balloon Entertainment.

I want to post this picture which clearly shows my Balloon Set-Up, so I'll remember how to put it together.  This Set-Up worked so well at the first event where I used it.

Simple Face-Painting

A lot of the kids at this Party wanted hands or arms painted instead of faces.  It was all very easy stuff.  

That's okay.  As long as they're happy, I feel good about the job.  (But I'm looking forward to some serious painting tonight :-)
