Balloons

Getting Ready with those Balloons Again.
Trying out new things.

This rose was a little complicated for making while
people are waiting:

But this ballerina, which looks More complicated, would be fine.
Probably because I've had so much practice with those
6-petal flowers:

St Patrick's Day

Face-Painting Season is just starting again.

Here are some of the beautiful people that I painted
at a St Patrick's Day Party. Felt a little rusty, but
we all had a great time.

Belgium

This is my friend Liesbeth.
She came to NY all the way from Belgium!

So what to do?
I entertained her by painting her up
before we went to a parade.
Fun.

Fancy Balloon Twisting

No party, no reason, I just twisted up these balloons:

I'm thinking that I might learn Balloon-Caricatures this year.
I already draw them onto round balloons, sometimes attaching them to balloon 'sticks',
but now I'm thinking that I might enjoy twisting up Caricatures directly from the balloons.

Ah yes - another thing to play.

Pleasing My Clients

I love to transform the faces - to really make
a difference with my paints. But all in fun.
Only if it is fun.

I'm careful to use only high-quality supplies -
like paint made specifically for painting on
faces. And I adapt my designs for what
will keep the people happy.

Here's several versions of faces - where the intensity of
the painting is changed according to what was needed
in the moment. There's all sorts of reasons to vary.
Client Requests, Wiggly Children, Long Lines, Guest-of-Honor.
There's more to face-painting than just doing the Artwork:

New Post

Lol - I was going to show some other Faces
that I painted to help the kids with their
role-playing that I was writing about in
the previous post. But I couldn't manage
adding to that post on this blog. So here
is a new post about it. First I'll show you
some boys who told me what they wanted:

Then I painted a few girls who wanted to be princesses:

And this little girl just wanted the Heart:

I was really on it that day, must have just watched the show or something.
(Or else this child might have had a picture of Diego? I don't remember).
Anyway, I came up with this picture when the child just wanted a picture
of Diego on his arm:

More cuties. Everybody's got to play:
