Happy Family

Busy Season!  I just grabbed a moment to show you some of the Paintings that I made recently at a Family Party.

As usual, it looked to me as though this Family was so Happy to be together.  I'm involved with their Happy Times.  I have no way of knowing if it's me that enables them to Have Happy Times, or if it's just that people are happy at Parties.  But I have been told many times that guests like my attitude.

Twisting Balloons can be Hard Work

Balloons feel great.  They bop around, they're filled with air.  Lightweight.  They smell good.  They move gracefully.  They're even attractive when they get old and wrinkly.  And I love that little nozzle at the end where it's tied.

But whew, this pretty balloon was Haaaard to make.  It felt like I was free when I finished it.









 I felt like I was mangling the heart-shaped balloons that I was told to use for this design.  I'm going to work on it.  I'm going to come up with a similar design that will be as much fun to make as to play with.

"Cheek Art" my Client said.
"Cheek Art?"  Does that mean it can only be a little thing on the cheek?  Or do you mean that you just want a quick little Thing.  Can I paint on arms and foreheads?"
"Just something quick.  We don't want anything elaborate.  Just a little something for a lot of people."
Okay.  I'm on.  I put out a list of just a few simple choices, and that was all I was allowed to paint that day.  Here's what I came up with.  The people liked asking for the same thing they saw on someone else.  And I liked painting it:  

















































and of course.... Would it be an event if #Spiderman wasn't requested?    
I paint it so much that it really goes Fast.  And my Client agreed to go a head with them:






Oh I had to limit myself.  But it still felt like Fun.  For me as well as for the Party attendees.  It feels kind of freeing when I don't have to 'reinvent the wheel'  each time I start a design.  Frees me up to enjoy the wonderful People as well as enjoying Painting.

There was more than enough time to make this a Happy Event.
 I was told to paint Children first, only paint Adults if All the Children are done.  And there was even enough time to paint a few Adults.  This 'Sort of Cheek Art' sure goes Fast.

Are we having fun yet?

Is my job important?  Face painting?  Should I do something more useful ~ like surgery, psychology, make a shoe......

Yes!  This post shows just what Face Painting can do.  This girl, like many others, came to the Party not expecting much.  Ho-Hum.  But then she was so surprised with her Face Painting.  Even a simple one like this one.  She woOwed in the mirror.  A mood lifter.

A few moments of Happiness.  That's what I can bring.  Get it when you can.
