Shrek

Shrek?  Shrek?  That wasn't on my list.  But isn't that what happens at Facepainting Events.  Many people already know what they want. 

So this is what I came up with.  For a little girl who wanted Shrek.  I liked her.  And I liked the Face Painting.  You can really enjoy your work, you can really enjoy the Children, when you feel comfortable with your skills.

I remember feeling great to be there Facepainting.  It was at a place that's been hiring me once or twice every year.  So I know the Set Up, I know what to expect, and I just feel so appreciated.  I enjoyed the job and the Guests felt Super Special.  Both Girls And Boys

A Cold Day

Going the Extra Mile

Look at me!  This weekend's Client requested that I fit in with her Disney-Theme Party.  So I sewed lace onto my polka-dot socklets, and I put red/white bows onto an old pair of shoes.  Figuring I'm doing all this sort of stuff at No Extra Charge even though it would probably be Only for This Girl's Party.

 

But now they're my new Favorites!  I will probably have more opportunities to wear them ~ especially in my line of work.  I feel so happy that I went the extra mile in accommodating my Client.  Because you can't imagine how Happy your feet can feel until you wear these.

An Intense Experience

An Arm Painting I did at today's 4th of July Parade.  I could tell how intensely the experience affected the woman by how many many times she kept Thanking me for it ~ and again at the end of the Event when everyone was leaving.  I knew I had really made her day Special.  Yes ~ My Artwork can be quite an Experience

Upping my Game

Always dreaming up new ways to Up my Game. 

This time I was playing around with a very successful Statue of Liberty Design that I had been using at previous 4th of July Events.  So many different options. 



And here is one of the simpler Statue of Liberty Face Paintings that I made a couple of years ago.

Introduction to Face Painting

An easy introduction to Face Painting for this young Party Guest. 
His Uncle brought him over for a 'Mike Tyson',
but I understood that the boy wouldn't know what to expect because he had never been Facepainted before.  So I took a few extra moments to talk to the boy.  And I showed him what it's like by First Facepainting a Spider on his Hand. 

It went like a charm.  Such a cutey.  From the moment he sat down through showing him the mirror.

I know a Lot of Designs

9pm last night ~ I was contacted to do FACE PAINTING today.

10pm last night ~ Agreement and deposit arrived.

Midnight ~ still doing Prep work


My whole day revolved around this last-minute Event.  Loud music.  Comfortable Set Up under their tent.  And as usual, most of the Requests were for Designs that were Not on my list.

I felt so happy to see that I felt comfortable to swing in to Each Request!  Of course, I had to do them more Quickly and Simply than what I do here in my Studio.

Here's One of the Faces I painted.  Roses.  And look who was there.  It's Richard Thomas, the Mayor of Mount Vernon.  Quite pleasant ~ he gave me Two Thumbs Up!
